  •  The SISCOM research group hosts Dr. Rafael Páez during his 2-months stay, from May 2024 to July 2024. He holds a Fundación Carolina grant. He works with Pontificia Universidad Javeriana of Bogotá (Colombia) and coordinates the master program in Digital Security. He also gave a talk addressed to the Ph.D. and other researchers of the Department , on 12/06/2024, entitled  "IoT: Features and security risks".

 

  • We organized a 1-week campaign, in collaboration with UPC Sostenible and ATM, to collect multimodal trips of the UPC community traveling to/from Campus Nord from April 15th to 19th, 2024. The  MobilitApp initiative is a citizen science project that gathers mobility data from citizens to achieve various benefits, including the enhancement of urban mobility. X video. Gifts. Campaign.   • Talk given by invited professor Leonardo Badia, from University of Padova (Italy) about Game Theory and its applications in communication networks. "Adversarial incorrect information injection in cyber-physical systems". 24th April 2024. Video. PDF.

  • Introduction of the pilot test for the one-week (April 15th to 19th, 2024) collection of multimodal journeys by the UPC community using the  MobilitApp tool. Developed by the SISCOM group, this mobile application predicts the mode of transport used during travel. In collaboration with UPC Sostenible. 10th April 2024. X1. X2.

 

     

  • Luis J. de la Cruz gave an invited talk in the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), about intelligent transportation systems, including aspects of facility, transport, network, and cross-layer security protocols, as specified in the ETSI standards. At the access network level, it was specific to 5G cellular networks, including details on the mechanisms for accessing the medium, especially with regard to "sidelink" links. 19th February 2024.   • The SISCOM research group hosts Dr. Chiara Gallese during her 3-months stay, from December 2023 to February 2024. She holds a Marie Sklodowska Curie grant. She works with University of Turin, LIUC University, Eindhoven University of Technology, in the European project DataCom about new ethical reuse of health data.

 

          
                  

 

                   

  • Mónica Aguilar and Alberto Bazán gave two invited talks in the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), about the MobilitApp tool and about smart charging services for electric vehicles, respectively. 30th October 2023.   • The SISCOM research group has participated in the Mobile World Congress 2023 contributing with their projects in the MWC23 UPC both, 27th February to 3rd March 2023.   • Prof. Leticia Lemus Cárdenas from the University of Guadalajara (Mexico) visited us from 14 November 2022 to 12th December 2022. The result of the joint research work has been published in the journal Vehicular Communications (DOI: 10.1016/j.vehcom.2024.100823).

 

  • We served as the organizing committee of the 19th ACM International Symposium on Performance Evaluation of Wireless Ad Hoc, Sensor, and Ubiquitous Networks (PE-WASUN 2022), hold in Montreal (Canada) from 24th to 28th October 2022.   • We host prof. Jordi Mongay Batalla during his 3-month stay in our Department. He gave a talk to the PhD students of our Department: "Talk on 5G: technology and security", 1st October 2021.
  • We host prof. Leonardo Badia (Univ. Padova, Italy) from 21th to 22nd September 2021, who gave two talksto the PhD students of our Department:

    "A Game of One/Two Strategic Friendly Jammers Versus a Malicious Strategic Node", and "Multi-agent navigation of autonomous vehicles and parking problems".
